Hey friend, I’m Trish
If you’re putting your trust in me to understand you, your business and/or your family (and catch all your best angles!) – you should probably know a little bit about me, too. So… I’m Trish. Dental nurse turned recruiter turned photographer; I feel like I’ve already lived three different lifetimes in my modest 34 years! I live with my husband and four-legged bestie, Rolo, near the beautiful Cambridgeshire city of Ely, where I’ve built an intentional life where I prioritise slow moments. That philosophy shapes how I work, too: thoughtful and considered. I love being in nature, but when I do opt for the indoors, you'll find me on my yoga mat, cosied up in a café with a matcha or running The Kin Club - my wellness-led networking and community events passion project.

Turns out there’s not much creative freedom when you’re keeping on top of people’s teeth (or helping them find a new job) and, in my spare time, I began capturing the beauty of nature on my daily walks. Eventually, a hobby turned into a side hustle and then a side hustle turned into a viable business, and I was seeing one-off shoots turn into repeat custom. This meant balancing a busy corporate recruitment career with weekends working on my passion project, and investing in better equipment, learning new skills and becoming the best I could be for those who put their trust in me as their photographer. As my confidence (and client base!) grew, I took the plunge to go part time in my day job and take on more in my business – and it’s been non-stop ever since!

What I do
I offer two main types of photography – branding and family photography. While the two styles often differ somewhat in visuals (it’s not often a founder asks me to roll around in a field of flowers with their children and pets – although they very much could do that if they wanted to!), the process behind the scenes is just as detailed and thought-through for both types. I’ll work with you and your team (sometimes that’s your family) to curate mood boards that completely encapsulate the essence and style of photos you’d like to come away with. We’ll plan everything from locations to colour themes, outfits and poses, ensuring that you feel completely comfortable with being the centre of attention for the session. The prep work that I do is as important as the work we do together on the day, and I believe that it’s my job to set us both (or all) up for success in advance.
